Why the app asks for Google account access, what it can and cannot do, and how your data is protected.
Realtime Users GA4 connects directly to the Google Analytics 4 Data API to retrieve your real-time visitor data. To do this securely without requiring you to enter your Google password inside the app, we use the industry-standard OAuth 2.0 protocol.
When you tap "Sign in with Google", you are redirected to Google's own login screen — your credentials are entered directly on Google's servers, never inside our app.
The app requests a single, read-only OAuth scope:
This scope allows the app to read data from your Google Analytics properties. It does not allow the app to:
The analytics.readonly scope is the most restricted scope available for the Google Analytics Data API. It is technically impossible for the app to modify, delete, or export your data using this permission.
The app fetches your real-time analytics data and displays it on screen. This data is:
During the app's review process by Google, you may see a screen saying "This app hasn't been verified by Google". This is a standard warning shown for apps that are under review or have a limited user base.
This warning does not mean the app is unsafe. It means Google's OAuth verification process — which reviews apps that request access to sensitive scopes — is either in progress or the app has fewer than 100 verified users.
You can safely proceed by clicking "Advanced" → "Go to Realtime Users GA4" on that screen.
Realtime Users GA4's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use the data to provide the in-app functionality described to users.
You can revoke the app's access to your Google account at any time by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing "Realtime Users GA4" from the list of connected apps.
